Government communications and publishing
WHH is the Australian Government communications specialist.
We can integrate traditional attitudinal research, marketing and advertising functions, web-based communications and community development strategies. Our core competencies include:
- helping organisations develop and implement effective communication strategies
- planning and project management of complex publishing projects and programs
- content development and coordination
- advanced information design and editorial services
- graphic design and formatting of text for print and online publications
- procuring and managing production and distribution services, including commercial alliances to secure global distribution
For a selection of some of the thousands of publications we have helped produce, see our publications gallery.
WHH has a strong editorial team, led by Virginia Wilton, who chairs the Council of the Institute of Professional Editors, is a former managing editor of the Canberra Bulletin of Public Administration, and a former chair of the Annual Reports Initiative (ARI).
Our senior editors have a mature understanding how policy-making gets done by departmental executives, their ministers, the central agencies and Cabinet. We have particular strengths as a partner in high profile reviews that present genuine intellectual and operational challenges.
Our Barton office is set up for ‘red team’ work. We can support 24/7 operations to finalise large documents as their content is being negotiated.
We help clients produce annual reports, and some have been successful in the Australasian Reporting Awards and the Institute of Public Administration Australia (ACT Division) awards. We also support the collation and editing of portfolio budget statements and additional estimates.
